WELCOME
This site exists for one purpose: to showcase the original lyrics of Jeff G. Kelly.
The sound recordings you’ll hear are demos only—nothing here is for sale, and you won’t find any advertising. This is simply a place where recording artists can explore Jeff’s work and hear how his stories sound when paired with demo tracks.
Jeff began writing lyrics at thirteen as a way to teach himself how to spell, long before he knew he was dyslexic. He tried learning instruments—horn, keyboards, guitar—but music theory never clicked. What did click was storytelling. Over the years he worked with local musicians, but when his lyrics were used, he often wasn’t credited. Later collaborations online left him with songs that didn’t reflect his vision and offered no room for his input. So he kept writing for himself, simply because he loved it.
In March 2024, Jeff’s wife passed away from stage‑four lung cancer. During that difficult time, his oldest brother introduced him to SUNO. For the first time, Jeff had a way to bring his lyrics to life—pairing them with AI‑generated demo music so he could copyright his work and finally let people hear the stories he’d been carrying for decades.
Jeff doesn’t claim to be a musician. But after fifty years of writing, it’s a blessing to hear his stories come alive. These demos aren’t the result of pressing a button. Jeff searches, experiments, and listens for the sound that comes closest to what he hears in his head.
He knows some people believe AI music “isn’t real music.” His question is simple:
If professional musicians can use AI as a tool (https://youtu.be/ECLy6JnBdoY?si=yQSvX9aa_DUQ1VRj) Start at 1:50) and still copyright their work, why shouldn’t lyricists be able to do the same?
Jeff believes the future will open doors for many creative people who deserve recognition for their talents. He’s not here to debate—only to share. After years of letting his stories gather dust, he’s finally giving them a place to breathe.
Welcome, and thank you for listening.
